The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids to set up a 100 MW (AC) solar project (200 MWp DC capacity) along with a 50MW/150 MWh battery energy storage system in the state of Chhattisgarh.
To be installed in turnkey mode, the project shall come up over 405 hectares of government land in district Rajnandgaon.
The work scope includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning, and ten years of plant operation and maintenance. It will also have a transmission line connecting to the Grid at Thelkadi, Chhattisgarh sub-station, with an approximate length of 33 km.
Bifacial panels made from mono-crystalline or multi-crystalline cells are to be used for the project. The PV modules supplier should have supplied a minimum 5 GW capacity globally or 1 GW in India in the last five years.
The estimated completion period is 18 months from the date of the start.
The bidder should have an average annual turnover of a minimum INR 345 crore or US$ 46 million, calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed within the last three years.
It should have executed—as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor or developer—a cumulative capacity of a minimum 50 MW of ground-mounted, grid-connected solar power plants in the last five years. However, such capacity must have been in satisfactory operation for at least six months before the last date of bid submission.
Or, it should have executed at least two ground-mounted, grid-connected solar projects having an individual capacity of a minimum 10 MW in the last five years from the last date of bid submission. However, such capacity must have been in satisfactory operation for at least six months before the last date of bid submission.
