Delhi-based rooftop solar company Mysun has commissioned a 1.75 MW array in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, for a textiles company.

It is estimated the project will help the client reduce its annual power bill by approximately Rs1.9 crore.

The plant uses a water-free, robot cleaning mechanism which saves on labor costs as well as water use.

Mysun founder and CEO Gagan Vermani said, factoring in other savings, the rooftop array will “save approximately Rs62 crore for the client over 25 years. Considering the present economic scenario, this saving is very significant and will help the business immensely. We are actively working with several such small and medium-scale enterprises across India to help business owners save capital that can be used for the sustenance and growth of businesses.”

Mysun claims to be the largest online rooftop solar platform in India, with approximately 100,000 registered arrays. The company recently raised Rs32 crore ($4.36 million) from investors in a structured equity deal as a part of a ‘pre-series A’ funding round. It aims to raise Rs250 crore over the next few quarters as it eyes expansion.

The rooftop company plans to use the capital to improve its technology infrastructure, scale-up service offering and expand into newer global and Indian markets.
