AMPIN Energy Transition has commissioned a 60 MWp group captive open access solar project in Kantabanji, marking Odisha’s first such installation under the Odisha Renewable Energy Policy 2022.
The project has been executed end-to-end by AMPIN, covering land acquisition, construction, and commissioning, with grid connectivity at the 132 kV Kantabanji Substation.
The plant will supply clean power to a consortium of corporate off-takers under the group captive model, including Bharti Airtel Ltd, Jindal Stainless Ltd, Emami Paper Mills Ltd, and Quality CARE Hospitals.
According to the company, the project is expected to replace around 50% of conventional grid power, enabling 25–30% cost savings while reducing 77 MT of CO₂ emissions per year.
