Oriana Power has committed to invest INR 500 crore in setting up solar and battery energy storage system projects in the Kamrup district of Assam. It recently entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the New and Renewable Energy Department, Government of Assam, for the proposed investment. The agreement was signed during the Investment and Infrastructure Summit – 2025 held in Guwahati, Assam.
“This strategic partnership aligns with the Government of Assam’s goals to advance renewable energy and supports India’s commitment to sustainability. While this MoU signifies the intent of both parties, further formal agreements and regulatory approvals will be sought in due course,” stated Oriana Power.
