Amp Energy India has announced the signing of a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corp. of India Ltd (SECI) for a 200 MWp wind-solar hybrid project. The developer won this capacity under SECI’s 1.2 GW hybrid wind-solar tender (Tranche-V).
Amp Energy will develop the capacity, connected to the interstate transmission system (ISTS), on a build-own-operate basis. As per the tender document, it can set up the project at its chosen location anywhere in India.
Currently, Amp has a 1 GWp+ portfolio of utility-scale projects across solar, hybrid, and floating solar segments. With the signing of the latest PPA, Amp Energy India’s hybrid portfolio has swelled to 600 MWp.
