Uttar Pradesh tenders 200 MW grid-connected solar

Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has invited bids from solar power developers to set up a cumulative 200 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Uttar Pradesh. The capacity is to be developed in UP Solar Park located at Kanpur Dehat and Jalaun districts. The projects shall be awarded based on international competitive bidding.

Bidding closes on October 4. Technical bids shall open on October 5.

Uttar Pradesh aims to generate 10.7 GW of electricity from solar energy by 2022. Of this, 6.4 GW will come from utility-scale projects and 4.3 GW from grid-connected solar rooftop. The target will be increased to 15 GW and 8.5 GW, respectively, by 2030.
