The Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency (MANIREDA) has invited bids to set up a 100 MW grid-connected solar project in Manipur.

The project—to be developed on a “build-own-operate” basis—will be located 16.74 km away from the 132/33 KV Kadamtala substation and 18 km away from the main market area in the Jiribam district.

The approximate area of the identified land parcel is 600 acres. The land is owned by the state government and will be provided to the developer on a lease basis.

The entire project capacity of 100 MW shall be allocated to a single bidder.

State Discom Manipur State Power Distribution Company Ltd (MSPDCL) shall enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidder for 25 years. The maximum tariff payable to the project developer is fixed at INR 3.0/ kWh for the entire duration.

The project selection would be technology agnostic within crystalline silicon or thin-film or concentrating photovoltaic systems, with or without trackers.
