NTPC has invited global bids to develop 1.5 GW of solar power projects anywhere in India. Bidding closes on August 29.

The Indian Railways is working towards reducing its carbon footprint by employing renewable energy to power its operations. The scope of installation, whether in the form of solar rooftop coaches or solar on the railway stations, is immense.

Capacity addition in the rooftop solar segment stood at 2,294 MW, which is higher than the yearly rooftop PV installations of 2022.
