Pace Digitek has secured a contract worth INR 7,099.19 million (including GST) from NLC India Renewables for the deployment of a 250 MW/500 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
The project will be executed on a turnkey basis across three substations — Ottapidaram SS, Annupankulam SS, and Kayathar SS.
Pace Digitek’s scope of work includes design, engineering, supply (excluding power transformers), manufacturing, forwarding, unloading, storage at site, erection, testing, and commissioning of the BESS installations. The company will also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for 12 years following commercial operation declaration (COD).
The entire project capacity is scheduled to achieve COD within 12 months from the date of the letter of award.
