Enrich Energy has commenced work on a 290 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project for NTPC Ltd at Simhadri in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
The company will execute the project on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis, with its scope including end-to-end BESS installation and integration with the existing thermal power station infrastructure.
The scope of work includes battery systems, battery management systems, energy management systems, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, power conversion systems, and inverter-duty transformers. The project also covers a 400 kVA substation with bay integration to 33 kV switchgear, along with protection and communication systems, auxiliary systems, and fire safety infrastructure.
In addition, Enrich Energy will provide remote monitoring and control infrastructure as well as operations and maintenance (O&M) services.
