Amplus Solar rebrands to Gentari

Gentari, the clean energy platform of Malaysian oil and gas major Petronas, has announced the integration of its commercial & industrial (C&I)-focused platform, Amplus Solar, into the Gentari brand. This strategic move not only unifies the company’s identity but also marks the consolidation of Gentari’s renewable energy (RE) operations in India.

Amplus Solar has been a part of the Gentari group since 2023, playing a key role in expanding its renewable energy portfolio. The integration combines Amplus Solar’s expertise in the C&I segment with Gentari’s broader ambitions in utility-scale renewable energy.

“By operating under a single brand, Gentari will be able to drive stronger alignment across teams and functions, positioning the group to deliver more cohesive and scalable clean energy solutions across both distributed and utility-scale segments,” the company stated.

Pungalia, who has been serving as the chief executive officer of Amplus Solar, has been instrumental in scaling Amplus Solar to more than 2.4 GW of operational and under-construction distributed energy assets.
