The state government of Odisha has approved a host of solar and energy storage projects in the state. Among the projects approved is Jupiter Renewables’ solar PV cells and modules manufacturing facility in Khurda, Odisha, to be set up with a total investment of INR 2,005 crore. Grew Energy will build an ingot-to-solar module manufacturing facility in Ganjam with an investment of INR 4,530.34 crore. Saatvik Solar Industries will build a solar cell and module factory in Khurdha with an investment of INR 1,366.56 crore. Jakson Engineers Ltd will also set up a solar cell factory in Khurdha with an investment of INR 1,354.40 crore.
TACC Ltd. (LNJ Bhilwara group) will build a manufacturing unit for Lithium-ion battery-grade synthetic graphite anodes. The project cost is around INR 1,850 crore. OHPC, a Govt of Odisha undertaking, will build a 600 MW pumped storage power project at Kalahandi with an investment of INR 3,394.48 crore.
