NTPC allocates 976 MW solar at an average price of $0.030/kWh

NTPC Ltd has allocated 976 MW out of the tendered 1.2 GW solar capacity at an average price of INR 2.50 ($0.030)/kWh. SAEL Industries secured 300 MW by placing the lowest price of INR 2.50/kWh. Refex Green and Rays Power Infra won 100 MW each, at INR 2.50/kWh.

ReNew Solar was allocated 300 MW and Illuminate Hybren/Mahindra Susten 176 MW at INR 2.51/kWh each.

NTPC will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement with the winning developers.

The projects can be located anywhere in India and must connect to the interstate transmission system.
