Saatvik Solar, a PV module manufacturer and EPC service provider, recently announced the commissioning of a 12 MW rooftop solar project for their client Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. The plant, purportedly Asia’s largest single-rooftop PV project, is installed at Jindal Steel and Power Ltd’s plate mill based in Angul, Odisha.
The project uses Saatvik mono PERC 545 Wp solar modules and has been commissioned on a single tin shade roof. It has a DC capacity of 12,009 kWp and AC capacity of 9,145 kWp to generate 15.78 million units per annum, helping Jindal Steel and Power to offset 9,610 tonnes of CO2 annually.
