Ayana Renewable Power has signed a power purchase agreement with Hindalco Industries Ltd, an aluminum and copper manufacturing arm of the Aditya Birla Group, for round-the-clock (RTC) supply of 100 MW renewable power to Hindalco’s smelter plants in Odisha. To ensure the power supply, it will develop 330 MW of solar and wind power capacity, supported by pumped hydro storage solutions in partnership with Greenko Energies.
Ayana Renewable Power is a private-sector power producer in India, backed by the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), British International Investment (BII), and Green Growth Equity Fund. The developer aims to build a 10 GW AC portfolio by 2025.
The Hindalco project bolsters Ayana’s cumulative capacity under management to nearly 5 GW across operations, maintenance, and development.
Ayana also recently won the REMCL tender to supply 300 MW of RTC power to a joint venture company of Ministry of Railways and RITES Ltd.
