Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has declared the commissioning of a 2 GW/annum solar cell and module manufacturing plant committed under Solar Energy Corp. of India’s manufacturing-linked tender. The plant is located at Mundra in Gujarat.
Under the manufacturing-linked PV tender, AGEL was awarded 8 GW of solar power generation projects (including the greenshoe option) in return for agreeing to set up 2 GW of PV cell and module manufacturing facilities.
In a stock exchange filing, AGEL informed that its associate company Mundra Solar Energy Ltd (MSEL) received the commercial operational date (COD) certificate from SECI for a solar PV cells and modules manufacturing plant with a 2 GW per annum capacity.
AGEL holds 26% shares of MSEL through its wholly-owned subsidiary Adani Renewable Energy Holding Four Ltd.
