Solar Energy Corp. of India Ltd (SECI) has issued a notice inviting tender to select developers for 500 MW of firm and dispatchable power from renewable power projects with energy storage systems. The projects can be built anywhere in India, provided these are connected to the interstate transmission grid.

The successful developer will supply power to Punjab State Power Corp. Ltd (PSPCL) on a “demand-following basis.”

The projects will be awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding.

In a separate development, SECI and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) signed a battery energy storage supply agreement for 150 MW/300 MWh.
