NTPC Group has added 5,488 MW of renewable energy capacity during FY26 across solar, wind and pumped storage projects, strengthening its clean energy portfolio.
The company’s diversified energy portfolio includes thermal, hydro, solar and wind power assets. Beyond conventional generation, NTPC has also diversified into emerging energy businesses such as e-mobility, battery energy storage systems, pumped hydro storage, waste-to-energy, nuclear power and green hydrogen solutions.
NTPC Group has now crossed 90 GW of installed power generation capacity following the successful completion of trial operations of Unit 2 (800 MW) of Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL). The project comprises three units of 800 MW each.
The company currently has around 32 GW of power generation capacity under construction. NTPC has set a target of achieving 149 GW of total installed capacity by 2032, including 60 GW from renewable energy sources.
