REIL invites EOI for installation of over 1000 EV charging stations

State-owned Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has been given the responsibility of creating public infrastructure for charging of electric vehicles in line with the Government of India’s mission on e-mobility.

REIL has successfully completed installation of three solar hybrid EV charging stations in the city of Jaipur, and another 200 numbers of EV charging stations in the cities of Jaipur, Delhi and Chandigarh under FAME-I scheme. At present, it is executing installation and commissioning of 270 EV chargers in six cities (Shimla, Agra, Ranchi, Goa, Hyderabad and Bengaluru) and on four national highways.

Further, as per the mandate from Department of Heavy Industries, REIL intends to set up more than 1000 numbers of EV charging stations in 70 plus cities across the country.

The selected party will be responsible for location identification, installation, operation and maintenance of EV charging station setup by REIL. It shall plan and work out input electricity requirement from state Discoms for meeting the system requirement of charging stations, and enable provisioning of power to the charging infrastructure areas through respective Discoms.

To be eligible, the participant should have successfully executed at least one public charging station with a capacity of minimum 30 KW, out of which at least one must be 15 KW (Bharat DC001).

Further, the agency should have experience of operating EV charging stations through a central monitoring system (a mobile app based on Android and IOS platforms) as well as manually. It should have demonstrated capability to run a charging network successfully and should have at least one tie up with a fleet operator.
