Investors and developers raised more than $34.3 billion in 160 deals last year, according to a new report by Mercom Capital.

The Uttar Pradesh Power Corp. Ltd (UPPCL) will procure 1 GW of solar power from interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected projects with SECI as the intermediary procurer (trader).

NTPC has invited bids to develop wind-solar hybrid projects for supply of 1 GW of power. The project can be located anywhere in India and must connect to the interstate transmission system.

The Philippines’ Department of Energy (DOE) is moving ahead with plans to require solar system installers to officially register with it. The DOE says that only registered installers will be recommended to government entities seeking PV installation services.

SJVN Green Energy Ltd will develop the project on a build-own-operate basis and supply the power generated to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd under a 25-year power purchase agreement. The project can be located anywhere in India.

Gensol Engineering, a solar EPC and electric mobility solutions provider, has raised INR 900 crore ($108.46 million) equity capital from international and domestic investors.

Acciona Energy expects to complete the 412 MWp solar PV project by 2025. The plant will be the Spanish renewable energy developer’s largest project in the country.
