The company will initially launch 750 electric buses across key intercity and inter-state transit routes in Southern and Western India. To support the e-bus rollout, it is also building a captive charging infrastructure network across highways with 600 DC chargers of 180/240 kW capacity rating.

A new report says solar-plus-energy storage will become an attractive investment option for commercial consumers in India as early as 2023 for electricity bill reduction. For high-tariff paying residential consumers, the system will reach grid parity post-2027. The report findings are based on the levelized cost analysis of solar-plus-energy storage systems for consumers in the Indian State of Tamil Nadu.  

The scope of work includes supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and five-year warranty maintenance of the standalone solar photovoltaic power generators. Bidding closes on August 2.

Sax Power has developed a new residential battery which it describes as a game-changer in the battery technology.

Indian manufacturer Vision Mechatronics has deployed a lithium-lead-acid hybrid battery storage system coupled with a rooftop solar plant at Om Shanti Retreat Centre (ORC) in the State of Haryana. The 1MWh storage system uses a combination of 614.4 kWh Lithium batteries with a 480kWh tubular-gel lead-acid battery.

The battery system, which is aimed at increased self-consumption, can handle a maximum DC input power of 18 kW and 1000 V.
