A study reveals that none of the eight states where EV policies have been active for two years or more is on track to meet its targets of EV penetration, charging infrastructure, or investments.

Oil India Ltd (OIL) indigenously developed this hydrogen fuel cell-based bus under its Startup incubation program SNEH. The bus is powered by a 60 kW PEM fuel cell.

India’s Energy Efficiency Services Ltd has agreed to provide technical advisory, project management, contracting and implementation support for energy efficiency programmes in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Reliance Industries Ltd developed the hydrogen internal combustion engine technology solution for heavy-duty trucks together with Ashok Leyland and other technical partners. It plans the technology’s first commercial deployment at scale initially across its captive fleet following extensive test and validation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched India Energy Week 2023, a three-day event connecting India’s energy stakeholders with international counterparts to collaborate for a responsible and smart energy transition on India’s road to net zero. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said India is today the world’s most suitable place for investment. He called upon the stakeholders to explore every possibility in India’s energy sector and get involved with it.

Electric vehicles (EV) sales in India soared 212% year-on-year to surpass one million mark in 2022.

Players in the electric vehicle (EV) hope the government will bring down the goods and services tax (GST) on EV batteries to 5% and lower duties on raw materials required for cell manufacturing. They also call for easy, low-cost EV finance to drive customer adoption. 

India Electric Mobility Council will work with the government and various stakeholders to address the barriers to EV adoption. Focus areas also include safety & standards, charging infrastructure development, battery swapping, and V2G mechanism for India.

The e-commerce giant will add TVS Motor’s electric two- and three-wheelers to its existing delivery fleet.

E-commerce retailer Flipkart has partnered with electric fleet operator Magenta Mobility to add 400 electric cargo vehicles to its fleet in India’s national capital region.
