Bluebird Solar appoints Rohit Tikku as CEO to lead PV cell, BESS foray

Bluebird Solar, a solar PV module manufacturer, has appointed Rohit Tikku as its chief executive officer (CEO) to drive the company’s expansion into solar cell production, EPC services, and energy storage solutions. Tikku will lead the company’s next phase of strategic growth under the “Bluebird Solar 2.0” vision.

Tikku brings more than two decades of experience in India’s renewable energy sector, having held senior leadership roles at Inox Solar, Vikram Solar, ReNew, Reliance Industries Limited, and Trina Solar. Prior to joining Bluebird Solar, he served as chief business officer at Inox Solar, where he played a key role in business growth, product strategy, and manufacturing operations.

Under Tikku’s leadership, Bluebird Solar plans to establish a 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility, expand and strengthen its solar module manufacturing capabilities, restart and scale its EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) business, enter the battery energy storage system (BESS) segment, and expand its network of channel partners, EPC associates, and institutional project business.

Bluebird Solar operates a fully automated 2.5 GW manufacturing facility in Greater Noida and manufactures Mono PERC and n-type TOPCon solar modules ranging from 500 Wp to 630 Wp across DCR and non-DCR segments.
