Indian deep-tech company Vision Mechatronics and Netherlands-based HyCooker BV have signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the global rollout, localized manufacturing in India, and international commercial sales of advanced hydrogen-burning cookstoves.
The agreement was signed by Dr Rashi Gupta, managing director of Vision Mechatronics, along with Agustina Raviotti, project lead at HyCooker BV, during the World Hydrogen Summit 2026.
The partnership aims to combine European engineering innovation with India’s manufacturing and technology capabilities to deliver scalable, zero-emission cooking solutions for domestic and commercial applications worldwide.
Under the agreement, Vision Mechatronics will lead manufacturing optimization and scale production at its facilities in India, leveraging its expertise in deep-tech deployment and indigenous hardware engineering. HyCooker BV will support technology integration and international market access to facilitate commercial rollout across European, Asian, and global markets.
The agreement signing ceremony was witnessed by diplomats and government officials from both nations, including Kumar Tuhin, ambassador of India to the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Marisa Gerards, Ambassador of the Netherlands to India, Nepal & Bhutan; Abhay Bakre, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India; and Prasad Chapekar, MNRE.
“This collaboration represents a monumental step forward in establishing hardware sovereignty and manufacturing excellence within the green hydrogen ecosystem,” said Dr Rashi Gupta, managing director of Vision Mechatronics. “By localizing production in India under the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision, we are not only optimizing global supply chains but creating a high-performance, clean-tech appliance that directly solves the clean cooking challenge.”
Vision Mechatronics is a deep-tech and energy storage enterprise specializing in lithium-ion battery technology, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and renewable energy infrastructure.
HyCooker BV is a clean-technology company based in the Netherlands, developing specialized hydrogen combustion appliances. By developing safe, highly efficient, and zero-emission hydrogen cooking systems, it is leading the transition away from fossil-fuel-reliant domestic and commercial thermal applications.
