JSW Energy commissions 250 MW of renewable energy capacity, including hydro, since April 2026

JSW Energy today announced that it has commissioned 250 MW of renewable energy capacity since April 2026, comprising 130 MW of wind, 69.4 MW of solar, and the 50 MW Tidong Hydro Plant. With this addition, its total installed power generation capacity has reached 13.7 GW.

The share of renewables in the company’s overall power capacity now stands at 59%, with wind accounting for 3,924 MW, solar (including the hybrid component) contributing 2,440 MW, and hydro capacity at 1,681 MW.

For Q4 FY26, the company’s total revenue increased 39% year-on-year (YoY) to INR 4,851 crore, while EBITDA rose 72% YoY to INR 2,602 crore. Profit after tax (PAT) increased 38% YoY to INR 574 crore.

For FY2026, total revenue rose 57% YoY to INR 19,878 crore. PAT increased to INR 2,762 crore, compared with INR 1,983 crore in FY2025.

JSW Energy has a total locked-in generation capacity of 32.1 GW, comprising 13.7 GW operational and 13.8 GW under construction across thermal, hydro, and renewables, with a pipeline of 4.6 GW. The company plans to add 3 GW of renewable capacity in FY27 and expects to incur a total capex of INR 20,000 crore in FY27. The company also has 29.6 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity, comprising pumped hydro storage of 26.4 GWh and battery energy storage systems of 3.2 GWh. The company aims to reach 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030, and to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
