Feston SEV, a Chennai-based solar inverter and energy technology company, is entering battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing with plans to set up a BESS facility with an annual production capacity of 3 GW. Its upcoming facility will produce 5 kWh to 5 MWh solutions, catering to residential and commercial segments.
The company recently signed an agreement to source 3 GWh BESS prismatic assembly line from Bengaluru-based Light Mechanics.
“In India, where C&I demand drives industry and expectations are rising, storage and hybrid systems are no longer optional but essential as reliability now matters as much as generation. That is where storage fulfils its promise and where we are building,” said Sampath Kumar, CEO, Feston SEV.
With the planned 3 GWh manufacturing capacity, the company is expanding from inverters into integrated solar + storage + power electronics solutions.
