Enviro Infra Engineers Ltd (EIEL), an infrastructure company focused on water and wastewater treatment solutions, has entered the battery energy storage system (BESS) segment by securing EPC contracts totaling 930 MWh.
The combined order value of the projects exceeds INR 1,070 crore. The contracts have been awarded by NTPC.
We are pleased to secure these prestigious orders from NTPC, marking a key milestone in our diversification into the renewable energy sector,” said Sanjay Jain, chairman. “Battery energy storage systems are critical to ensuring grid stability and enabling round-the-clock renewable power. As India accelerates its energy transition, BESS represents a large, long-term opportunity, and our entry into this space positions us to play a meaningful role in building next-generation energy infrastructure.”
Enviro Infra Engineers entered the renewable energy segment in FY 2025–26. Its subsidiary, EIE Renewables, is currently developing 79 MW of solar power projects. The newly awarded BESS contracts expand the company’s renewable portfolio, complementing its established presence in the water and wastewater treatment sector.

We are working on a 15 to 20 MW solar farm project with 30 to 50 MWH BESS. Land acquisition is in progress. Following that we plan to approach the utility company with day time + peak load time energy supply proposal and negotiate.
To be honest, I had not yet come across any company from India to inquire about supply / installation. rather we were concentrating on Chinese companies, notably BYD for BESS and some other company for solar PV panels and balance of supplies.
We will be most pleased to hear from you on if and how we can avail your competitive services.
Please do send me reply if interesting.
Thanks.
