ACME Solar Holdings (ACME Solar) has been awarded 450 MW capacity for assured peak supply of 1,800 MWh (450 MW × 4 hours) from renewable energy projects connected with the interstate transmission system. It secured the capacity in SJVN’s FDRE-IV tender by placing a winning tariff bid of INR 6.75/kWh for 25 years.

The tender was issued under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) guidelines with an e-reverse auction held on Oct. 9, 2025.

The project requires the supply of 4 MWh per MW of installed capacity during any four-hour period each day within the peak demand window, achieving 90% monthly availability.

ACME stated that it will develop a 300 MW solar project backed with 1,800 MWh BESS to meet the FDRE supply requirements. The project focuses specifically on peak power supply, with objective of supporting grid stability and managing critical peak demand. It will utilize night-time connectivity available with ACME Solar at high irradiation zones in Rajasthan. This will be  ACME Solar’s first project to use Indian made solar cells (under ALMM List-II).

ACME Solar’s Chief Commercial Officer Mr Rahula Kashyapa said, “Securing the SJVN FDRE-IV project with peak power effectively utilizes the available transmission capacity from night time connectivity thus enabling us realise early revenue. This is win-win for both customer and ACME Solar as it’s lowest price in pure peak power tender achieved so far.

ACME Solar is a private-sector integrated renewable energy player with a diversified portfolio spanning solar, wind, storage, FDRE and hybrid solutions and an operational capacity of 2,918 MW and under construction capacity of 4,472 MW including 13.5 GWh of BESS installation.
