Indian photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer Gautam Solar has received certification from the California Energy Commission (CEC) as it seeks global expansion.

The CEC certification is a crucial regulatory approval that ensures Gautam Solar’s modules comply with stringent standards for quality, safety, and performance required for solar installations in the State of California, the largest solar market of the United States. This certificate is also recognized in other states.

“With this certification, Gautam Solar is now positioned to serve the rapidly growing demand for reliable and efficient solar energy solutions across the United States,” stated Gautam Mohanka, CEO at Gautam Solar. “We have always prioritized building globally certified, technologically advanced solar modules, and this milestone will further strengthen our mission to contribute to the global clean energy transition.

The CEC certification will play a crucial role in Gautam Solar’s U.S. growth strategy, allowing collaboration with US-based solar project developers, EPC contractors, and distributors.

Headquartered in New Delhi, Gautam Solar operates manufacturing facilities in Uttarakhand and Haryana and is scaling up its production capacity to 3.2 GWp in 2025, with a goal of reaching 5 GWp by FY2025-26.
