SJVN’s third tender for the selection of developers to supply 1.2 GW of firm and dispatchable (round-the-clock) power from grid-connected RE projects with/without energy storage systems has discovered an average price of INR 4.86/kWh. The total capacity allocated is 448 MW.
ReNew Solar Power won 100 MW by quoting the lowest price of INR 4.82/kWh. Other winners include Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon (100 MW at INR 4.86/kWh), Serentica Renewables (100 MW at INR 4.89/kWh) and EG Energy Development (60 MW at INR 4.83/kWh). Tata Power Renewables has been allocated 88 MW at INR 4.91/kWh.
The winning developers will supply the contracted capacity from ISTS-connected RE power projects to be developed on a build-own-operate basis. The RE projects can be based on solar, wind or other RE source combined with/without energy storage systems. The projects can be located anywhere in India.
SJVN will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders. Power procured by SJVN from these projects has been provisioned to be sold to the different buying entities of India.
