Waaree Solar Americas Inc., an arm of Indian PV manufacturer Waaree Energies, has announced the appointment of Gordon Brinser as its chief operating officer (COO). Brinser has extensive experience and has been working towards advancing US manufacturing capabilities.
Waaree Energies is India’s largest manufacturer of solar PV modules with an aggregate installed capacity of 12 GW, as of June 30, 2023. It is planning to manufacture solar PV modules in the US through its US arm.
In his role as COO, Brinser is expected to play a significant role in leading Waaree Solar Americas Inc’s operational functions, and executing strategic initiatives to enhance the company’s market position. Formerly the vice president of operations at EnerSys, he managed manufacturing sites, working towards aligning operations and the implementation of LEAN manufacturing programs.
