SJVN has concluded its 1.5 GW interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar auction by awarding the full capacity among five developers at an average tariff of INR 2.53 ($0.30)/kWh.
Solarcraft Power India 8 (BluPine Energy) quoted the lowest tariff of INR 2.52/kWh and won the full quantum of 300 MW capacity it bid for at this tariff. GRT Jewellers (India) won 150 MW at INR 2.52/kWh.
JSW Neo Energy secured the biggest slice of 700 MW, at INR 2.53/kWh. Furies Solren (an arm of Mahindra Susten) secured 300 MW at INR 2.53/kWh. NTPC Renewable Energy bid for 300 MW at INR 2.54/kWh and secured 50 MW.
The successful developers will set up ISTS connected PV power projects on a build-own-operate basis anywhere in India.
SJVN will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders. Power procured by SJVN from these projects has been provisioned to be sold to the different buying entities of India.
