Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) intends to procure 1,125 MW solar power from the projects to be set up in GSECL’s RE Park at Khavda. It has invited bids to develop these solar power projects on a “Build Own Operate” basis.
GUVNL will sign a 25-year PPA with the successful bidders.
In total, 12 plots are earmarked for allotment under this tender. The selection of grid-connected solar PV projects for a total capacity of 1,125 MW (100 x 10) and two small capacity plots (60.24 MW and 64.76 MW) to be set up in GSECL’s RE Park at Khavda will be carried out through bidding followed by e-reverse auction (e-RA). The minimum quantum of power offered by the bidder shall be 100 MW considering the plot size of 100 MW.
“Each bidder shall be allowed to place a bid for a minimum 100 MW capacity and in multiples of 100 MW only. Ten plots of 100 MW size may be allotted on L1 (lowest quoted tariff) priority basis to successful bidders after e-RA, and small capacity plots (plots of 60.24 MW and 64.76 MW) shall be allotted to the last successful bidder after e-reverse auction (the successful bidder having highest tariff in reverse auction) irrespective of its quoted capacity subject to fulfilment of qualification requirements,” reads the tender document.
