Tata Power’s step-down arm TP Solar has placed a CNY165 million ($22.6 million) industrial automation equipment order with RoboTechnik, a Chinese supplier of PV production equipment. The order value is equivalent to about 18.3% of RoboTechnik’s 2022 audited operating income, announced RoboTechnik.
This is RoboTechnik’s third order from TP Solar, after equipment supply deals worth CNY13.6 million and CNY1.9 million signed in 2020 and 2022, respectively.
RoboTechnik, however, didn’t disclose details about the equipment to be supplied and the delivery timelines.
TP Solar is setting up a greenfield 4.3 GW PV cell and module manufacturing facility in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu.
