Waaree Energies, which has 2 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity in Gujarat, has supplied 45 MW of PV modules to KPI Global Infrastructure Ltd., a Gujarat-based developer.
KPI will use the modules for the projects it is developing in Bharuch district as an independent power producer and a captive power producer. Waaree supplied 134,328 polysilicon modules for the installations, with capacities of 335 Wp.
Waaree has maintained its position as a Tier-1 module manufacturer by BloombergNEF for the last four years.
Recently, the company signed a five-year silicon solar cell supply deal with USA-based CubicPV. The agreement will see CubicPV supply its cells. Its products are based on Direct Wafer technology, which produces wafers in one step, directly from a molten bath of silicon.
