Jaipur-based Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited has opened a tender to supply five-busbar bifacial crystalline silicon solar cells rated for a minimum 5W peak output. Mono-crystalline passivated emitter rear contact (PERC) cells are also sought in 7Wp (5-/6-busbar) and 10Wp ratings (6-/9-/10-/12-busbar).

Quantities to be supplied are 50,000 of 5Wp bifacial and 100,000 mono PERC (50,000 of 7Wp and 10Wp cells each).

The bifacial cells should be 156.75×156.75 ± 0.5 mm or 157.0×157.0 ± 0.5 mm in size, with cell thickness of 200±30 µm. The front busbar must be at least 0.7 mm wide and the back busbar 0.8 mm.

The 7W mono PERC cells should be 182×182 ± 0.5 mm in size, with a cell thickness of 200±30 µm. The front busbar must be at least 0.7 mm wide and the back busbar 0.8 mm.

The 10W mono PERC cells’ size should be 210×210 ± 0.5 mm, with a cell thickness of 200±30 µm. The front busbar must be at least 0.5 mm wide and the back busbar 0.6 mm.

Only REIL-approved bidders will be considered against this tender. Those not listed as CEL-approved vendors will be required to provide a sample of 150 cells.

The cells are to be supplied in lots of 25,000 up to December 31.
