Private utility AEML tenders 350 MW of wind-solar hybrid projects

Private-sector utility Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited has invited global bids to set up 350 MW of grid-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects. There is also the Greenshoe option to add another 350 MW. The projects—to be developed on build-own-operate basis—can be set up anywhere in India. Bidding closes on August 9.

SECI announces 160 MW tender for hybrid storage project

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has announced a tender for a 160 MW wind, solar and storage plant to be located in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Greenko’s 2.75 GW solar, wind, storage project approved in Andhra Pradesh

Greenko Energies will set up India’s largest Integrated Renewable Energy Project (IREP) in Andhra Pradesh at an investment of INR 150 billion (US$2.2 billion). Recently approved by the Andhra Pradesh government, the project will comprise 1,000 MW of solar energy, 550 MW of wind energy and 1,200 MW of standalone pumped storage capacities. It is expected to provide employment to 15,000 people during construction and 3,000 people after construction.

MNRE to support 2.5 GW wind-solar hybrid projects

India’s Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has announced a Scheme for setting up of 2.500 GW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid projects.

India’s wind energy giant Suzlon commissions all of its booked 340 MW solar projects

The projects developed through special purpose vehicles (SPVs) are located across three states in India: Telangana (210 MW), Rajasthan (60 MW), and Maharashtra (70 MW). The company told pv magazine that it is looking at solar-wind hybrid projects, citing them as good solutions for better grid utilization.
