Domestic content requirement

The Kolkata-based solar manufacturer recorded an INR 67.83-crore net profit for FY 2020-21, against INR 4.13 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Telecommunications Consultants India (TCIL) has issued an expression of interest to select EPC partners as it intends to bid for the 5 GW grid-connected solar capacity tendered for state-run generators. Installers have until March 24 to lodge their interest with TCIL.

Bidders have until February 22 to lodge their interest to develop the PV capacity that shall come up in three blocks of 245 MW each at Nokh Solar Park.  

October 20 is the final date to submit bids for the generation capacity, which will be set up on buildings on the islands of Middle and North Andaman.

A UK-German research team analyzed solar auctions in India between 2014 and 2017 and has determined that local content requirements have driven up PV costs by an average of 6% per kilowatt-hour.

Central Electronics Limited has invited bids to install distributed, grid-connected PV systems for solarization of existing agriculture pumps in Tonk district. Bidding closes on September 19.

June 3 is the last date to submit bids for installation and commissioning of the NTPC Solapur solar project tendered under the domestic content requirement category. Major items including modules and inverters for the project shall be provided by NTPC to the EPC contractor.

The Rs 1,750-crore project—under the second phase of Central Public Sector Undertaking scheme—is to be developed using domestically manufactured solar cells and modules.

The grid-connected solar project—scheduled for commissioning in September 2021—is valued at Rs 1730.16 crore and will be developed using Tata Power’s own cells and modules.

The project—valued at Rs 15,050 million—is to be set up using only domestically manufactured cells and modules. Completion period is 20 months.
