Domestic content requirement

Solar manufacturers have until March 12 to bid for domestic manufacturing and supply of solar modules with made-in-India PV cells.

Adani Solar has unveiled an n-type TOPCon bifacial solar module built with indigenously produced cell. The module is available in power range from 550 W to 575+ W and an efficiency of 21.4% to 22.4%.

Solar Energy Corp. of India Ltd (SECI) is accepting bids to supply 400 MW of domestically manufactured solar modules built with made-in-India cells. The modules must be rated a minimum of 540 Wp each. Bidding ends on Dec. 23.

Solar manufacturers in India now have until Oct. 18 to bid for supplying 1 GWp of PV modules built with domestically manufactured cells.

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL) has invited bids to supply 1,584.6 MWp of DCR-compliant, crystalline silicon bifacial PV modules for its 1,255 MW Khavda Solar Project.

The state-owned power producer has commissioned 162.27 MW of the 230 MW Ettayapuram solar PV project in the Thoothukudi district.

The modules are built with made-in-India cells and therefore eligible for government projects and schemes mandating domestic content requirement (DCR).

IRCON Renewable Power has started accepting bids to develop 600 MW (DC) of solar projects and a 220 kV substation in Pavagada, Karnataka, on a turnkey basis. Bidding closes on Sept. 20

Waaree, a Mumbai-headquartered solar manufacturer, has obtained government approval for 4.75 GW of annual PV module capacity. It is also the only manufacturer to secure approval for 650 Wp modules in government-backed projects.

The state-run power generator has declared its 296 MW Fatehgarh solar project in Rajasthan is now fully operational, following the commissioning of its last-part capacity of 48.8 MW recently.
