The solar rooftop project at automaker FIAT’s Ranjangaon factory in Maharashtra uses high-efficiency 445Wp half-cut mono PERC solar modules of ‘Anchor by Panasonic’ and 110kW string inverters.

March 17 is the deadline to bid for setting up grid-connected solar power plants in sizes of 0.5MW to 2MW on uncultivable land for selling the power to the State Discom.   

Bidders have until February 28 to lodge their interest in developing grid-connected, ground-mounted solar plants in sizes of 2-10 MW in various districts of Maharashtra. The ceiling tariff is fixed at INR 3.10/kWh.

The solar plant, located in Maharashtra, uses 65,000 PV panels covering an area of 80 acres. It will supply clean energy to telecom operator Airtel’s Nxtra data centers and switching centers in the State.

The captive solar plant, being developed by Cleantech Solar arm CSE Deccan Solar, will supply 40 million units of electricity per annum to the tyre manufacturer’s Chennai facility. 

The 13.5 MW solar project, located in the Osmanabad district, will supply solar power to Orient Cement for its manufacturing plant in Maharashtra under a long-term power purchase agreement.

TP Saurya Ltd, an arm of Tata Power, has secured a letter of award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to build 300 MW of hybrid wind-solar capacity.

The solar plants are to be installed in 2 MW to 10 (2×5) MW sizes for giving daytime power to agricultural consumers. Bidding closes on December 20.

The successful contractor will install the arrays in blocks of 2-10 MW and will carry out all stages of installation, from site surveys through to 12 years’ operation and maintenance.

Developers have until November 25 to bid for setting up grid-connected, ground-mounted projects in 2 MW to 10 MW sizes under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojna. The projects shall be awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding followed by a reverse auction with ceiling tariff fixed at INR 3.10/kWh.
