Mono PERC

Ratings agency Crisil analysts estimate India will have 38-43GW of annual solar module manufacturing capacity by the end of March 2025. Production capacity will be driven by strong domestic demand, favorable government policy, raised module conversion efficiency, and price competitiveness, according to the ratings agency.

The Indian manufacturer has unveiled Series 10 monocrystalline PERC solar modules featuring 144 half-cells based on M10 wafer. The modules are available in monofacial and bifacial versions with a maximum efficiency of 21.33% and 21.13%, respectively.

The Indian solar manufacturer has unveiled mono PERC half-cut-cell modules with output ranging from 375Wp to 410 Wp. The five-busbar modules can be used in all installations including off-grid, residential, commercial and industrial, and utility-scale.

The Indian solar manufacturer currently has 750 MW of cell and module factory in Hyderabad and plans to more than triple this capacity with the addition of 2 GW mono PERC. The capacity augmentation is planned over the next two years with an investment of INR 1,200 crore. The equity capital from GEF will support the expansion.

Adani Solar, Jakson, Premier Energies, Vikram Solar, Waaree and other Indian manufacturers are showcasing their high-output modules (from 500 W to 600+ W) at this year’s Renewable Energy India Expo 2021.

The Indian solar manufacturer will start producing its HELOC̣ Pro series M10 (182mm) modules from November, and add G12 (210mm) panels to its lineup next year.

The German solar brand shall start commercial production of 540Wp mono PERC modules through its India subsidiary starting next month. The modules are 20.9% efficient. 

The Indian manufacturer has introduced the HELOC̣ Pro series featuring mono-facial and bifacial modules based on M10 (182mm x 182mm) wafer size. 

The energy payback time of a silicon PV rooftop system mounted in India is only 0.44 of one year (160.6 days), compared to 0.53-0.67 year in Africa, 1-1.3 years in Europe, and 1.42 years in Canada, reveals a world map by German research body the Fraunhofer Institute of Solar Energy Systems (ISE). For the calculation, the report authors considered the installation used a typical, Chinese-made, 60-cell, PERC, 19.9%-efficient solar module.

The Indian solar manufacturer has released the Helia series of high-efficiency mono PERC PV panels. Ranging from 450W to 600W outputs, the multi-busbar modules are designed for use in residential, commercial and utility-scale installations.
