Indian solar manufacturer Premier Energies is setting up a factory in Telangana with an annual cell and module production capacity of 750 MW. The fab will be equipped to produce large-format panels with wafer sizes up to 210mm.
The PV module relies on Jinko’s TOPCon mono cell technology, for which a record efficiency of 24.9% was announced last week. TÜV Rheinland has confirmed the result.
Manufacturers have until January 11 to bid for the supply of an aggregate 8,352,000 quantity of multicrystalline and mono PERC silicon solar cells using five bus bars.
Bids are invited from Indian manufacturers to supply 5000 mono PERC silicon solar cells. The deadline for bid submission is December 23.
The Solar Energy Corporation of India has issued amendments to the procurement and extended the bidding deadline a second time.
