WattPower signs 1.2 GW string inverters supply deal with ReNew 

Pavit Gandhi, sales director at WattPower Systems, told pv magazine that WattPower Systems will supply 1 GW of string inverters by December 2023 and the balance by March 2024 for ReNew’s multiple renewable energy projects.

Solis unveils hybrid inverters for rooftop applications

Solis has released a new line of hybrid inverters in five different power output versions, ranging from 3 kW to 8 kW. The hybrid inverters can be used with either lithium-ion or lead-acid batteries, with a maximum charging and discharging current of 190 A.

Survey shows 34.3% failure rate for residential inverters over 15 years

The Bern University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland has published the initial results of a survey on the durability and performance of residential PV inverters and power optimizers over a 15-year period. They found that more than 65% of the inverters did not present yield-relevant faults by their 15th year of operation.
