Indexed renewable energy tariffs could save discoms up to INR 21,880 crore over five years

A joint report by the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (Ieefa) and the CEEW-Centre for Energy Finance (CEF) has recommended indexed tariff structure over flat rate for future renewable capacity, with front-ending tariffs as low as INR 2/kWh, to ease near-term financial pressure on discoms.

NHDC seeks supplier for up to 350 MW of solar modules

India re-elected as President of the International Solar Alliance

Three Indian firms among Top 11 solar EPC contractors outside China in 2019

Although the Wiki-Solar website ranking only provides a snapshot of PV project engineering, procurement and construction contracts outside of China, it is nevertheless a useful indicator of the changing global solar market landscape. Swinerton was the largest solar EPC contractor outside China in 2019. Of the top 11 companies, three are based in India, three in the United States, another three in Spain and two in the United States.

Tata Power awarded 100 MW project at Gujarat’s Dholera Solar Park

The developer secured the grid-connected solar capacity in a 700 MW auction by state utility Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited which had a tariff ceiling of INR2.92/kWh.

Odisha tenders for 10 MW of solar in Konark town
