The winning developers will install battery energy storage systems in Gujarat with the primary objective of making the energy storage facility available to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd for charging/discharging of the BESS on an ‘on demand’ basis.

JSW Energy will receive a fixed capacity charge of INR 10.84 lakh per MW per month for twelve years for 60% (150 MW/300 MWh) of the total battery storage capacity.

The battery energy storage system (BESS) with an installed capacity of 152.325 MWh has a dispatchable capacity of 100 MW AC (155.02 MW peak DC) solar power with 40 MW/120 MWh BESS. The project is located in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh.
