Ratings agency ICRA maintains a negative outlook for thermal power generation despite a rise in electricity demand. The thermal plant load factor will remain subdued at 57%. The gap between the average cost of supply and the average tariff for discoms is estimated at 70-75 paise per unit for FY2022.

Developers have until September 3 to bid for the solar projects to be set up on a build-own-operate basis in Karnataka.

With this, India Grid Trust (IndiGrid) has become the first infrastructure investment trust in India to acquire renewable energy assets. The acquisition of 100 MW solar assets from the Spanish developer was done at an enterprise value of INR 6.6 billion.

The Magenta electric vehicle charging station in Mumbai has 21 AC/DC chargers, including four DC chargers of 15-50 kW capacity and 17 AC chargers of 3.5-7.5 kW capacity.
