GEON, part of the 60-year-old Kabra Extrusion Technik Group, has launched GELITHIUM, an all-in-one power backup system that integrates a pure sinewave inverter with an inbuilt lithium-ion battery. Designed for households and small commercial users, the system delivers up to 95% energy efficiency, maintenance-free operation, and long service life.

GELITHIUM is available in 1,250 VA and 2,500 VA variants, paired with 12.8V/100Ah and 25.6V/100Ah lithium batteries, respectively. The system offers a fast UPS-mode changeover time of ≤7 milliseconds, ensuring uninterrupted power for sensitive equipment.

The 1,250 VA model weighs 27±1 kg and measures 364 x 230 x 275 mm, while the 2,500 VA model weighs 52±1 kg with dimensions of 300 x 335 x 450 mm.

By combining the inverter and lithium battery into a single sealed unit, GELITHIUM eliminates external wiring and bulky battery installations typical of lead-acid systems. The compact design simplifies installation, saves indoor space, and removes routine servicing requirements, making it suitable for homes, clinics, offices, retail outlets, and light commercial applications.

The system uses lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) prismatic cells supported by an intelligent Battery Management System (BMS), fast-charging capability, and multi-layer safety protection. Compared to conventional lead-acid batteries, the lithium battery offers a longer lifespan, zero maintenance, and lower total cost of ownership.
