SJVN’s tender for an assured peak supply of 6 GWh (1.5 GW x 4 hours) from 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects backed by energy storage systems has discovered a tariff of INR 6.74/kWh. Reliance NU Energies secured the largest share—750 MW—at INR 6.74/kWh, followed by Sembcorp Industries Ltd with 150 MW at the same tariff. SolarCraft Power (BluPine Energy) secured 150 MW at INR 6.75/kWh. The remaining 450 MW was allocated to ACME Solar under the bucket-filling method.
The tender was oversubscribed, receiving bids for 4.9 GW against the tendered capacity of 1.5 GW.
The projects are to be developed on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. These can be located anywhere in India and must connect to the interstate transmission system (ISTS).
