RenewSys, an integrated manufacturer of solar PV modules and components, will add eight new encapsulant manufacturing lines at its recently commissioned facility in Khopoli, Maharashtra, increasing its total encapsulant production capacity to 30 GW across 19 lines. The expansion aims to meet the growing demand from both Indian and global solar markets.

The company currently operates seven encapsulant lines, with four more scheduled for commissioning in 2025. Presently, RenewSys has 9 GW of encapsulant and 4 GW of backsheet capacity. It is also scaling up its solar module manufacturing capacity to 5.5 GW by FY 2026–27, supported by a 2.5 GW high-efficiency solar cell line under installation.

“As India accelerates its transition to renewable energy, driven by visionary policy initiatives from Ministry of Renewable Energy (MNRE), we at RenewSys are scaling up to meet the growing demand with agility and commitment,” said Avinash Hiranandani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director at RenewSys. “Our upcoming expansion reflects not just our preparedness to serve a rapidly evolving solar market, but also our continued focus on enabling high-quality, reliable module manufacturing through world-class encapsulant solutions. This is a step forward in our journey to power a sustainable future for India and beyond.”
