Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI) has launched a Green Energy Skill Centre at Rohini, New Delhi. The Centre will impart training in renewable energy technologies, including solar PV system installation, commissioning and operation and maintenance, energy storage, pumped hydro storage, and electrical safety to prepare future-ready green energy workforce for the country’s energy transition.
The Centre was inaugurated by Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, and Praveer Sinha CEO & MD, Tata Power.
TPSDI has curated courses blending the standards of the National Skills Qualification Framework and National Council of Vocational Education and Training (NCVET)-approved Qualification Packs. Its training offerings align with national priorities like the PM Surya Ghar Yojana under MNRE’s skilling framework.
TPSDI, an institute of excellence in energy sector training, offers over 200 modular courses across green energy, safety, transmission & distribution, power systems, and soft skills. With a focus on hands-on, practical training, it has trained over 3.43 lakh people as of FY 2025.
